Last updated: November 1, 2025
Tekconnect Inc. (“Tekconnect”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through tekconnect.ca and related services, how we use it, and the choices available to you. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Quebec’s Law 25, and, where applicable to visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / UK GDPR).
1. Information we collect
- Contact details you provide when you email us, call us, or submit our contact form: name, business email, phone number, company, and the content of your message.
- Chat assistant messages you send to our website AI assistant. These are processed to generate a response and may be stored in your browser to preserve the conversation.
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, referring pages, and pages viewed. This is used for security and analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and provide requested information or quotes.
- Deliver, maintain, and secure our services and website.
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Legal basis (EEA / UK visitors)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for optional analytics cookies, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, and the necessity of processing to respond to your request or perform a contract with you.
4. Sharing and service providers
We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the site and our business, including hosting, analytics (Google Analytics 4), and our AI model provider for the chat assistant. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. Some may store or process data outside of Canada, including in the United States or European Union.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal or accounting requirements, or to resolve disputes. Inquiry emails are typically retained for up to 24 months unless a longer retention period is required.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
You may request to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent or request deletion, subject to legal limits.
- Port your data or object to certain processing (where GDPR applies).
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tekconnect.ca. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
